Shaking up the workday at Phoenix Youth Hub!

Check out the vibes and what participants had to say!

We were very excited to collaborate with our friends down at Maribyrnong Youth Services to run a dance wellness workshop for local organisations and the Maribyrnong City Council staff. Led by the fabulous teaching artist Maya and seasoned all round legend Hëna, the session brought hip hop and street dance into the workplace, creating a space for staff to move, have a laugh and connect outside of their usual work routines.

No dance experience was needed, just a willingness to get up and give it a go!

This type of workshop is part of L2R’s corporate wellness offering, which brings movement, creativity and the energy of street dance into workplaces and events. Our sessions are designed to support wellbeing while building connection, confidence and collaboration between teams. A physical (energy) and mental (brain) boost direct to your workplace!

For L2R, these workshops are also about creating impact beyond the room. In case you missed it, we’re a not-for-profit social enterprise, with 100% of our profits reinvested into free dance programs for young people across Melbourne’s west, as well as employment and professional development opportunities for young artists. On a weekly basis we employ 15 young dance artists and work with over 228 children and young people across our 12 free weekly dance programs!

It was super fun to spend time in the studio moving, connecting and bringing the L2R energy to the Maribyrnong City Council team and some of our local frinds such as the Boonwurrung Ngargree Dance Group!

Want to shake up your next workday? Lets lock in - L2R’s corporate wellness workshops can be tailored for teams, workplaces, conferences and events, with plenty of good vibes guaranteed!
