FRIDAY FEELS VOL. 4 STEPH

What did you have for breakfast?

I had two piece of toast and a kiwi fruit.

How would your friends describe you? Three words

Umm…energetic, loving and funny.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Describe yourself in three words

Crazy, energetic and loving.

Whats important to you…. can you explain your values?

My friends; being there for them and them being there for me. It’s like a give and take kinda thing.

My family; cause they’re always there for me through thick and thin and I love them. Just treating other the way you want to be treated and looking out for everyone, not only looking out for others but also looking out for yourself as well.

Tell us one thing that no one knows about you?

I’m a very open person.

What are your dreams and future goals/ where do you see yourself in 10 years

I see myself doing the things I love which is dance and being surrounded by beautiful people who loves me for who I am and I love them for who they are.

Can you tell me how you first got into dancing

Watching YouTube tutorials of dancers I like from music videos and it just went off from there and I just keep on learning.

Why is dance important to you

It’s really helped me through think and thin and when I get upset I just dance it out and it makes me feel better and it helped me make so many friends and being who I am today as a person.

Can you explain to me how and where you practice dancing

Umm, I practice at L2R dance with the crew and if not just at home in my room. (Hahahaha).

Does your cultural background play a role in your dance practice

Not really, for me Thai culture is more traditional where as hip hop is more free.

How does performing make you feel?

It makes me feel amazing, like there’s this feeling in my stomach like there’s butterflies. So fun, beautiful and happy.

Talk to me about hip hop. What draws you to hip hop

It's the ability to just dance, have fun, be free, be what you want and do what you want to do with like energy and the ability to have my own style and uniqueness.

What role does l2r play in your life?

It helped me further my dancing and gives me opportunities to push myself.. and yeh it just really helped me make so many friends and continue to build who I am as a person.

What exciting projects do you have coming up?

The KITH project that’s coming up in November 16th at Footscray Community Arts Centre.

Be sure to check out L2R's emerging artists perform their development performance KITH as part of Due West Festival.
