My family is important to me because without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.

I can’t cook as good as I thought I could.
What are your dreams and future goals/Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
To be a teacher in the Karen state and help give students their voice through dance.
Can you tell me how you first got into dancing?
When I was little my grandmother introduced me to dancing but then I stopped and it wasn't until 3 years ago that I discovered it again with L2R.
Why is dance important to you?
It brings out the fun and outgoing personality I have in me.
Can you explain to me how and where you practice dancing?
I practiced in my room and my … garden.
How does performing make you feel?
It's made me feel relieved and it also brings out the happier version of me.
Does your cultural background play a role in your dance practice?
Um my culture does play a role but not in hip hop.

Talk to me about Hip-hop. What draws you to hip-hop?
Hip hop to me is like a way for me to break out of my shell.
What role does L2R play in your life?
L2R is like my family. It brings back the good that I have and It’s not just like a job It’s my way of living.
What exciting projects do you have coming up?
We have the L2R experience show coming up and It’s a show where all the L2R groups come together and put on a show at the end of every year.”
