This program unites young people aged 12-25 years from across Melbourne’s west and is suitable for all levels of dance.
Next Gen is L2R’s largest program with high enrolment and participation levels, which makes this class extra vibrant, fun and high energy! We love the chaos!
This program unites young people aged 12-25 years from across Melbourne’s west and is suitable for all levels of dance. Some of the Next Gen participants have been members of L2R since 2010 which allows for peer to peer mentoring. Next Gen members work hard to train in different styles of dance with a spotlight on hip hop dance and culture. Our focus is on the process of learning and liberating the body through movement so we can let loose and soak up the endorphins.
Next Gen members embrace diversity and by training in hip hop foundations we encourage young people to develop their own unique and individual style. Next Gen loves to share and unite community through dance and is often invited to perform at local events and festivals so keep an eye out for us!
Auslan Access: Many of our team have completed Deaf awareness training. Deaf and hard of hearing young people, can talk to us about joining all our programs with NDIS access support.
