How has COVID-19 affected your daily life?

Can’t dance with L2R or go to boxing.


What have you been enjoying during the lockdown?

Cooking and spending more time with my family.


What is the first thing you will do when you leave your quarantine bubble?

See my friends!


What have you learnt during this isolation?

I have learnt how to cook lots of new things and also learnt not to take things for granted.


Can you tell me how you first got into dancing?

My mum used to break so she introduced me to it when i was 9 years old.


Why is dance important to you?

Dance is important to me because it lets me show my emotions and i have created lots of important friendships.

Can you explain to me how and where you practice dancing?

I train in my living room or in the backyard. I prefer to dance outside, i can play my music super loud and not interrupt my parents.


How does performing make you feel?

Confident. It makes me feel like I can rule the world lol, I used to get very scared doing those situations, but as soon as you finish you just want to get back on stage again.


Does your cultural background play a role in your dance practice?

Sometimes yes, my mother grew up dancing in street styles back in her home town she wanted to show me that dancing creates closer friendships and helps build self confidence.


Talk to me about Hip Hop. What do you like about hip hop?

Hip hop is a very cool thing, it’s a perfect way to show your emotions in different forms and mediums. Hip-hop music has the power to make a different in my mood and dance.


What role does L2R play in your life?

L2R has had a huge role in my life, it has made me find a new family. L2R wants to make people happy by dancing and it has made me so much more confident.


What exciting projects do you have coming up?

Nothing at the moment due to Coronavirus, but I hope to enter more battles and start boxing in the ring again.
